Teaches violin and chamber music at the Music High School of Padua. He completed his musical studies at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice and his perfectionment courses in the ‘900 violin repertoire under maestro Enzo Porta. After receiving a scholarship grant from the “Biennale di Venezia” on the subject of “Prassi esecutive dell’ultimo Nono” (“Executive praxes in the late Nono”), he specialised his studies on modern and contemporary repertoires, working together with some of the most prominent Italian ensembles of contemporary music. In Venice, he founded the string quartet “Paul Klee”.

In his role of solo and first violin of the quartet, he participates to important international festivals and musical seasons. He has toured all of Europe and performed several premieres in the United States, Russia and China. He has been invited guest at the national radios of Italy, Spain, Portugal and Ireland.

Between 2004 and 2005, he was offered an artist residence at the Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud, France. Currently, he is taking a doctorate of philosophy at the University of Evry in Paris. Following to his extended experience and in close cooperation with the French pianist Jean-Pierre Armengaud, he has specialised his recording activity in the French chamber repertoire. Important works by Debussy (Violin Sonata and Trio), Messiaen (Quatuor pour la fin du Temps), Milhaud (Violin Sonata and Creation du Monde), Ravel (Sonata Posthume), Satie, Stravinsky (Divertimento for violin and piano) e Massenet (Thais solo) are his latest records under the label of Blueserge. The integral recording of the quartets by Philip Glass is of considerable interest too.

Actually he’s working for Naxos. He held seminars and master classes in Italy, France and China. Since 2013 he became member of the research project “Impronte di paesaggi sonori” (Galassetti, Galfetti, Rocca) at DFA of SUPSI.
